cabbit records production blog - chris Update on what I'm doing posted by chris, thu, 24 apr 2008 18:36:13 hst Okay, so it's been months since I posted. Hell, it's been a long time since I did anything. Anywho, since the last time I wrote, I have volunteered myself to put Tantra Monster footage onto dvd and onto youtube. Tantra Monsters, for you youngsters, was the best, is the best ska band that ever came out of Hawaii. (Sure you can argue that Go Jimmy Go is, but look who's the trombone player there, Ryan Kunimura of Tantra Monsters.) Anywho, after many attempts by Rid, transfering media failed. I found a tape adaptor for the vhs which I thought I could put in my VHS/DVD recorder combo, but it was for the wrong tape. Now I have found an old hi8 camera. Wish me luck. Oh, I also have recently put onto dvd a show from Jan/Feb 2001. I don't know if it was posted anywhere. I'll try to get permission from the artists to post it. It's from the 2001 Zinefest. If you kids don't remember, it had some major players, so permission will be tough. Why do I write this? The only people who read this is Rid and Randi. Oh well, it's an update to you 2. I haven't fell off the face of the Earth. RGG comments disabled Mike Park! posted by chris, fri, 18 jan 2008 11:59:51 hst Remember! Tonight and tomorrow. I'm Chris. You've seen my name but most of you have never seen me. Sorry about that. I should make it out more to the shows. That is one New Years Resolution from me. First, I would like to congratulate Pimpbot with landing a monthly slot at Maddog Saloon in Waikiki. First being tonight at 9pm. I know, I know, by the time most of you read this, it's Friday. But then there's next month. Anyway, it's free for 21 and up. Next, the main reason I decided to blog. Mike Park of Skankin' Pickle/Bruce Lee Band/Chinkees/Asian Man Records fame is once again gracing the shores of Hawaii. Dates of the shows: January 19th @ the Arts at Mark's Garage, 6-9pm Hope to see you there! comments disabled |
